this made my day SOOOOO much better than it was going

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

I think AC's lost it for me. I've even tried not to spoil anything by watching every video that comes out. I watched this and didn't feel excited whatsoever. Ezio and his games are stale. :/

Nope, it's just Chuck Testa.

EDIT: but seriously though, I'm reading what you're saying and it's not connecting in any way to what I just saw.

Did I just saw a glimpse of Altair's actual Grand Master Assassin Robes at 1:22?

Did I just saw Ezio climb on the side of a bridge?

Did I just saw the most amount of blood in an Assassin's Creed game?

If I did, then I want this game...badly!

Yes, yes, and yes! ; )

Altair's robes look so cool! I didn't think they'd be white, though.

I share a little bit of what Joey said. I love AC, but haven't really felt that excited about Revelations...
Maybe is because of the kind of let down Brotherhood was.

Fair enough, I know you guys don't follow everything as obsessively as I do, so I think a lot of things will surprise you in a good way on release.

I like the Altair sections, because I'm sick of Ezio. I hope Altair takes up enough of the game to give me some breathing room and not totally HATE the Italian stallion.

Jesus, those were the most graphic and gory kill animations I've ever seen. Maybe combat won't be such a bad thing haha.

But on a serious note I'm not too psyched either. It's still gonna come down to the reception of it from you guys before I even consider buying it. As of now, my money still rests with Battlefield 3 and Skyrim.

I think Brotherhood ruined any hope of excited anticipation for Revelations. I'm still looking forward to playing it but haven't been trawling the internet to find out loads about it - perhaps this will make the first-time experience of the game much more exciting Smile

I guess you guys had your time to find out everything about each game before release. Now I finally have followed an AC game from beginning to near end.

And I'm interested to see your reactions to this game, from what I've seen.

I liked AC1, but it was basically unplayable to me for several reasons. I understand how you guys got around it, but I don't understand how it holds up against the newer entries, (even if Brotherhood had a worse story and worse story missions) for you.

It sure doesn't for me.

And I don't have any problem with a character being in for 3 games. Most game series have the same character from start to finish!
Ezio has changed enough that it's a totally different experience going through a story with him. Most series never show change like that.

Ezio is a brilliant character but I think most people want something fresh. The great thing about AC and the Animus concept is that it allows each game in the same series to be set in a totally different period with a new character, each one being linked through Desmond. With three games about Ezio, the whole modern-day-assassin-living-his-ancestor's-memories idea seems a bit unnecessary. We may as well just follow Ezio throughout a single series!

Still, I see why you enjoy playing as him and agree that he has developed as a character to still be interesting and likeable. I think we all just expect something new and even more exciting from Assassin's Creed Smile

I never felt like Ezio's story was finished with AC2. Brotherhood might not have added too much, but it did build on his "career" as a sucessful assassin. Revelations just seems like so much more of a step forward than that. I don't know. I'm glad they fleshed him out more. I think it's better to have three Ezio games in a short period of time, and then AC3, than a huge gap between AC2 and AC3 and a whole bunch of plot threads to tie up in one game.

even though i'm probably not gonna get the game, i really liked that trailer.
seeing Altair again, with the body of his former master in his arms was pretty awesome

Things will not calm down, Daniel Jackson. They will in fact calm up

Plus this way they can introduce and perfect new mechanics, instead of everything they have in AC3 being untested and unrefined.

I can see how some people would be a little tired of Ezio, but I don't think he'll have outstayed his welcome unless he appears as the main character in ANOTHER game.

EDIT: And hey, ROB is right. It's a darned good trailer. I'd watch this game if it was a movie.

Very true. I have to agree with you here. More decent AC games that build on a well-liked character are better than a long break, followed by one game crammed full of confusing, rushed plot points and explanations.

Youtube is making me sign up for it in order to view the video. Is there any way that I can see it without signing up? I'm sure I pass the age qualification.... Wink

Why don't you want to sign up? Signing up is probably the only way you can see it, it was probably flagged for violence.

That's another thing, I really like the new gouts of blood. Smile

I wouldn't like that. The more exposure a character gets, higher the chances are that people will grow tired of him. That's what's happening with Ezio, a lot of people who liked him at first just want some changes now. Handheld console games aside, I'm fine with Altaïr just having one game and a half.

Well, here specifically I don't think most people who're hating on him now liked him to begin with.

Here maybe, but elsewhere I did read a lot of "Ezio in the next game ? he was cool in ACII and all, but again ? come on!" type of comments.

Those comments are in the minority, but yeah, they existed. I think this is the perfect amount of Ezio. Brotherhood for me was not acceptable as a sendoff story.

And Joey, lol

I must admit, today was the first time I actually watched the trailer. Before, I was just adding to the conversation in response to what others had said Tongue It looks absolutely brilliant and I'm now confident this game will be a great send-off for Ezio.

Also watch what happens at 1:18 in the trailer. Remind you of anything? Big smile
