Actually, official announcements have been the only ways they've communicated Conner killing on both sides until now.

The videos have verbally mentioned that Conner isn't on either side. I know you're talking about footage, but when you say "announcement", you mean verbally.

. WHAT ABOUT DESMOND! I mean damn, I'm not that big of a Desmond fan but seriously. WHAT ABOUT HIS STORY TRAILER. And Aveline! ubisoft killed two birds with one stone with her. The fans wanted a female, boom make a female assassin. The fans also wanted an African American, Boom make her half African American. WTF! UBI.
Look all I'm trying to say is. Connor is like ubisoft's john cena. How? They both are shoved down your fucking throats!!. Well thats a bad comparison, cause most to all of you don't watch wrestling.
All i want is to see a trailer that doesn't focus on Conner. either Desmond or Aveline. Well actually, Aveline, cause Desmond would be spoiler fest 2012.
Alex Hutchinson said he'd rather us wait until the release until Desmond is exposed in any way to the players. I actually want that to be his marketing strategy. The less I know, the better his story will play out. Also, I'm fine seeing more of Connor. Every time we do, we see more of his character design, movements, abilities, etc. He's a good wash from the Ezio games. And he's still very mysterious. We don't know that much about him personally. I like how vague Ubi is being about the story. It's how it should be with the final part of a series.
Two seconds of Desmond banging on a wall in the Animus (a scene that didn't appear in the game) in a Revelations trailer is probably the most promotion Desmond's received before any game, so...

But both AC2 & Brotherhood had articles with screenshots of Desmond, the crew, and the hideouts.

And we STILL didn't know much about it.
I don't want to see Desmond stuff until the game comes out, honestly. I'll use these few months to imagine absurd things for him. Say, navigating contemporary New York by using the bleeding effect to swing on pots that existed in 1776. Or the fact that we'll probably climb the Freedom Tower.
I'm just expecting invading Abstergo HQ in the very end, or climbing it perhaps...? xD
Killing Vidic is a must though, we gotta go out in a bang~
We will see a little bit of Desmond screens, as always, and know jack about what they mean, as always. I'm cool with that.
So mysterious, I have high hopes for this game. It's got a new engine, thats a step in the right direction, on-the-fly combat apparently, also good, has anybody seen anything on Connor's hidden blade? Don't think I've seen a kill with it yet..

Yes, actually. He's killed soldiers and wildlife with the hidden blade (not just skinning deer). There's one "Making of" video that shows a double air assassination.
