The first time I had heard of players PURPOSEFULLY attempting to get as LOW of a completion percent as possible on a game was with the Metroid series. I'm gonna be trying that for ACR. Meaning, I will fail all Full Synchs on purpose, don't do any missions except for necessary ones, and try to collect as less stuff as possible. Curious to see what happens Tongue

Also this will tell us how much % of the whole game is the ACTUAL mandatory story mode. I have a feeling it's pretty small.

Good luck, then I guess. Do you want to make it a proper speedrun and plan and all that?

I think, first I'm going to play through it just to see if I can get as low of a percent as possible.
If that works, I may do a speedrun but I'm not very good at speedruns..

You can become good, with practice. Wink

By the way, I think I will be doing an any% run of ACR in one or two years. With the help of THB's videos and topics, of course.

Sure thing. One blitz is already done (which I believe to be as fast as possible, even faster than a crossbow shot).

So far, the main Storyline, Full Synchs not included is less than 30% of the actual game. I'll see if that number goes up, I'm at Sequence 6 right now. I'm getting sad seeing the Main Game not be paid attention to by the developers. Side Missions should be Side Missions, not bigger than the actual game IMO.

Its because of all the complaints about AC1 side missions. They are taking the game in the completely wrong direction.

SPOILERS

I mean really there is only one proper main assassination, the rest are so scripted its a joke. The side missions in this game are imo just real cheap missions, I cant see myself making many videos on this game tbh.

However the templar dens is one of the main highlights, on a second playthrough im enjoying them so much more but only because im looking for things to record.

Yeah, most of my hours of playing this game are coming from looking for cool things to do. I finished the storyline and am nearly finished with 100% sync. After that, I suppose I will collect all Animus Data Fragments and treasures, but that's because I'm a completionist nut.

Just finished a low % run, and you reach 40% synch by the end of the game.
The hard part was when Ezio has to reach the tower in Topkapi palace to spy on Suleiman/Ahmet/Tarik's conversation : the full synch requires you to not be detected. So yeah, jump before a Janissary and 3 seconds later a dozen surrounds you. Small health due to minimal armor + forgot to buy medicines + constant attacks on all sides not giving you a split second to use a smoke screen = hard time.
But it was fun, instead of purposely make the game linear by always completing missions the way the full synch tells you to.

I'm so glad, sync!
Doing Anti-Full Synch is definitely pretty fun.
There was one instance when I was like "WHY IS THIS MISSION SO MUCH HARDER THE SECOND TIME!?"
Mission: Go talk to Prince Suleiman
Do not be detected.

It's weird that sometimes you play a game the first time and go through it perfectly. The second time, you fail at the simplest parts. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS???

Not sorcery, boy. Skill!

I love how we make obscure AC references here and everyone gets them. Tongue

maybe due to the player underestimating the game the second playthrough

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

I had this happen to me with the first Templar Den attack mission. My first run i got full sync easily but the second time i kept alerting the guards when i killed the captain. After all my hours i'm still not too savvy on every little nuance of the game mechanics.

For that Den, there is a guard on the roof to the left that will spot you if you kill the Den captain, but he won't run away.

I think maybe it has to do with if you poison the gaurd on the lower roof before you kill the captain. The other gaurds will turn to look at the poisoned gaurd they will expose you when you perform an air assassination on the captain.

Whenever i've killed both gunmen i've never had a problem staying undected.
