Assassins Creed Unity Sequence 4 Memory 1 The Kingdom of Beggars la Touche Assassination.

In Arno's hunt for the King of Beggars he first meets la Touche, a Templar agent working for him. Although it was intended you spare his life and assassinate him later in the game, it is indeed possible to kill him without failing the mission.

Locating la Touche

At the beginning you have to find la Touche. This is the first opportunity to attempt an assassination. You can't get close to him without starting the scene, so I berserked a guard to go after him. Alas, la Touche can be targeted but not attacked. The poisoned guard stays there for the scene and afterward.

Another thing about the scene is you can use the disguise skill during the beginning and not lose it until the scene is partway done.

Tailing la Touche

Following the target, you cannot kill him without desynching. During this I show a short conversation he has with Marquis de Sade, who first appeared during the previous scene. At first I tried getting in the huddle of the conversation with a money pouch, but then the target walks past and the conversation gets skipped.

My attempt at getting away with an assassination at this part is to kill la Touche right as a scene is starting. This proved hard as either I would desynch or the scene would start before I could perform the kill. The closest I got was starting a low profile hidden blade assassination as the scene was starting. Arno continues the animation during the scene, stabbing midair. There is also no blood on la Touche, so I wouldn't count it count it as a kill. Standing by the entrance of the gate also gets Arno in the scene.

The Early Death of La Touche

Now that you're done tailing la Touche, all there is left to do is interrogate him to find out where le Roi des Thunes is. After that scene, la Touche remains shackled to the wall. He still has the regular guard AI, which allows you to lure him with gunshots and cherry bombs (gunshots are more effective, but be wary of other nearby guards who will be drawn to you).

Sometimes la Touche will lean over the wall when investigating. If he goes far enough you can target him for a kill. Depending how, the target will die on either side of the wall.

Assassins Creed Unity le Peletier Assassination

I have two people to thank for this.

First Slembroccoli for the beginning route:
http://thehiddenblade.com/looking-future-again-thread-text-walls#comment...

Then InTehVaria for more on that route:
http://thehiddenblade.com/almost-perfect-minimalist-stealth-dinner-engag...

You start out climbing in through the open window near the poisoned wine. Go up the stairs and locate the target. If you're successful you'll hear him ask the butler for wine. Now go back out the way you came.

After climbing to the roof, make your way to the window infiltration. On the opposite side are some windows that are normally closed but open after you are in the same area as le Peletier. Ubisoft meant this as a way of escape after killing the target.

I ended up changing things, scrapping my original plan because the route slembroccoli wrote out is much more efficient and it turned out my planned route had a serious flaw. The main run in the video is exactly what slembroccoli described here: http://www.thehiddenblade.com/looking-future-again-thread-text-walls#com.... It is indeed the best way of doing this mission in a minimalist fashion, which I think is pretty sad honestly. Regardless, awesome work, slembroccoli. I included my original infiltration route as well, after the main run, and I talk about its flaw in the video's annotations.

Happy holidays everyone.

Eagle Strike on Sivert

In this video I perform an eagle strike on Sivert.

I got Sivert at the intended spot using the luring technique that Aurel had used in his eagle descent video (Thanks for that btw made it a lot easier). After getting him out of the Notre Dame it was mostly an issue of avoiding the NPC's that are green when eagle vision is active since they will attack and kill Sivert. Blue guards should also be avoided since they will also attack Sivert and similar to my other video there is a chance that Sivert will disengage from combat completely and cannot be aggro'ed anymore.

About the jump, you will probably notice two things:
- I'm positioning Arno to lean slightly to the left when hanging from the ledge, this is because a straight jump forward will most likely take him to far and I would die on the roof.
- At around 1.17 there is a slight skip/slow/glitch in the jump, I don't know how to cause this but it occurs most of the time when leaning to the left and having the camera at a certain angle. I've performed the jump without the skip but the chances of success are a lot higher when it happens.

Assassins Creed Unity le Roi des Thunes the King of beggars. This assassination takes place in sequence 4.

Pacifist

Only use the knockout ability. To remain anonymous I had to take out two other guards. Stealthy, except for when the target spotted me for a brief moment. The game requires you to kill the target with the hidden blade, but strangling him first helps with the idea of a mercy killing.

Pummeled

The closest thing to a punching bag. Sneak up, unsheath your weapon and beat him to a pulp.

Employee of the Month

Killed by one of his own. Berserk the gunman on the other side of the room. Make sure you kill him right after he shoots the target or he will detect you after that.

Jump Kill

A mini stunt from the highest available beam nearby, using a cherry bomb to make the target face away.

The ghost of Paris glitch - Aka Ultrablending

While toying around I stumbled upon a certain glitch.

I've taken the liberty of coining it "Ultrablending" since I remembered the terms super and hyperblending being used (although I have to admit I'm not entirely up to date on how those exploits work Tongue ).

So basically this is what you do for the glitch to happen:

- First, you find a group of npc's similar to this video, I would guess that a crowd of 5/6 people is enough and you don't want to get overcrowded.
- Then you go stand in the middle and drop a money pouch using R1, the npc's will start picking up the money and Arno will crouch along with them, I wait a few seconds and then I slightly nudge my control stick to make Arno stand-up.
I try not to make very abrupt movements and try to take a few small steps and if all goes well you should see the blending circle/ring disappear and re-appear a couple of times.
- I don't know the minimum/maximum off re-appearing the ring has to do and I usually just take a guess and step out of the blending group.
- I usually test if the ultrablending has succeeded by running past a few guards/fanatics and see if my running makes them turn around/activate their SSI. If I failed then they should notice me and if I succeeded they wouldn't even turn their heads.

The money-bag process is a bit of hit and miss, up till now I have a 70-80 percent success rate on the first try.

The glitch doesn't cancel out when you fast-travel to a viewpoint if I'm correct. It does however end when you die and I also think it ends when you enter another blend group.

Entering a main memory after ultrablending will cancel it out and that's why I had to redo it for the assassination.

Trapping Sivert Underground

Using the underground entrance as a way to turkey shoot (immobilize) the target.

Sequence 3 Memory 2 Confession

The underground entrance is on the south side of the building, near the back. On the wall is a strange symbol you can interact with. This same symbol is also by another underground entrance, the one by the front door. A large trap door is the opening inside Notre Dame.

Start by clearing the area of nearby guards who could spot you. Then get the target's attention and lead him to the stairs of the underground passage. I tried using dead bodies and cherry bombs to get him all the way underground, but they didn't work so good, so I resorted to using smoke bombs+tackle.

Once he's in there close the trap door. This isn't necessary to prevent him from moving because the AI of characters can't find a path to or from the underground entrance and the inside of the church.

To reach him from outside, go through the underground entrance nearby, the well. With Sivert being a sitting duck, you can sneak up and turn him into a human pinata with a melee weapon. A smoke bomb makes this more effective if you don't want him to try to fight back.

The Fastest Way to Assassinate Sivert Undetected

You are missing some Flash content that should appear here! Perhaps your browser cannot display it, or maybe it did not initialize correctly.

http://youtu.be/3G9R_RPYya0

Setup

Stealing the key to the locked side windows and doors at the top of the church creates an autosave. Restarting from that checkpoint starts Arno out with the key already obtained. This saves time from having to steal or loot it during the actual blitz. But since it depends on an exploit, the blitz would go in a different category than an exploitless blitz.

Anonymous Blitz

Before the area is loaded, hold Analog stick to the upper left and tap Legs button in high profile to jump. If done right Arno will jump the the lower roof, then to the ground. Be careful you don't jump from the highest part of the lower roof or you'll die.

Now use the lift to get up the building quickly and follow the path in the video to reach the locked window. Here comes the hardest part. You have to use eagle vision to get the target to walk in range for an air assassination while running past a guard patrolling on the same level. On top of all that, he is close enough to accidentally be targeted for an air kill. So during the running you have to get the camera facing the right way to prevent that. What sucks more is the target is close to some guards who can also get air killed instead by accident. So you have to depend on a lot of luck.

This is the fastest way I could kill Sivert anonymously. An exposed blitz would probably be from the front door.

The trick with this memory is taking the side flags first. Once you collect a certain set, more flags replace the old ones. Use this to your advantage and farm them for yourself to get a huge time boost. You're going to need all the time you can get when you make mistakes (YOU F*CKING WILL, I SWEAR TO GOD). I got about 40~ seconds during the first section alone.

Remember to focus on each level first, and not go after everything you see. That's when you mess it up for yourself and accidentally make Arno grab onto something you didn't even notice was there in the first place.

When you have to make tight turns or small jumps, just use Xbox right trigger or PS3 R2 button, not Xbox right trigger + Xbox A button or PS3 R2 button + PS3 cross button like you probably want to. When only holding the free run trigger, Arno will only run along level ground (as long as there are relatively level obstacles in his path). I use this to make small leaps across gaps that manually jumping to would screw the entire process up.

Don't focus on the time. Get a feel for the best paths you can take. Notice that I slow down when I'm about to climb a ladder. If you rush it too much, you'll ruin it for yourself. Take it slow when you have to change things up.

I hope the video helps anyone in desperate need of getting past this level. I know it's seemingly impossible to do alone, but I proved it's possible. It just takes 20 tries and your game to freeze before you actually accomplish it.

Bastille eagle strike [S8,M2] (Possible minor spoilers).

Here's my first AC:U video (and hopefully the first of many) on the target from sequence 8 memory 2.

The setup and execution of it are pretty obvious but there a a few things I'd like to add:

- I got Rouille at the target spot by having him chase me when in conflict, I didn't include this in the video because it takes a while and it isn't that interesting
- I wore chest armour that increased my health (instead of the more stealthy armour) because he will sometimes try to shoot you while chasing and those can be fatal really quickly.
- When I was being chased by Rouille I did my best to avoid bluecoat soldiers since they will engage Rouille and sometimes for no reason Rouille will then start running around randomly and not coming into conflict with Arno anymore. This can however be fixed by throwing a stun grenade on him.
- I had rouille fall on the little market stand next to the chateau because if he falls directly onto the ground the fall will "kill" him and I can only finish him off with the hidden blade.
- I chose the Bastille as an eagle strike point because it currently is the only place where I can consistently perform this move.
- The eagle strike might not be a 100 percent fluent but this can be attributed to the fact that Arno needs time to grip the ledge and when I tried making the jump and turning the camera at the same time Arno wouldn't grasp the ledge and I would desync.

Hope you guys enjoy the video.
