EDITED: SHINY VIDEO QUALITY NOW!

Suspicions/Detection Meters Allowed (Not a Ghost Run)
No Kills/Takedowns
No Detects
No Stealth Outfit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ_xSC3kp6I

Special thanks to Fed981 and prenatual, two speedrun idols of mine - for inspiring me to speedrun.
Special thanks to JoeyFogey and the rest of TheHiddenBlade.com Brotherhood for helping me acquire this Elgato capture card. Without it, this video quality would not have been possible. I'm still playing around with settings and wondering how to get the maximum quality. It looks good on my PC - then YouTube butchers it. I did use the Direct Upload from the Program, so maybe I should just save the HD file and upload it manually from YouTube.com?

[Routing]

I tried going purely to the right, and I've tried going through the middle but I always end up going slower than my pure left route.

This route also makes a certain flow possible where I can kind of just keep moving (except for when I Pickpocket the Keyholder) due to guards moving in certain ways at certain times. The little weave I do to the left shakes off a Detection Meter from the two guards behind me, and allows the guard near the Leaf Bale to move forward enough that his peripheral vision can't see me when I run past.

This timing of the original run also allowed me to Pickpocket the Keyholder and wallrun up to the top section of the garden before the guard watching that area starts walking back. This time, however, it didn't really matter, I let him "see" me (no Detect) and just kept Stutter-Blending from bush to bush. The rest of the run is more or less just sticking to the left walls.

Essentially everything just lines up the way I want it to. I'm sure there are faster routes, maybe if Fed cares enough about this game he will destroy my time ^_^

I don't know the game but this looks great, especially with the glitch. Grats!

Thank you! When I get better means to record, I will be speedrunning other sections as well. Definitely not an entire game at first though, that's too much for me to chew.

I'll get to recording some HD videos sometime. Problem is it tells me to upgrade the Jackdaw before continuing (currently in Sequence 06 I believe, hard to keep track).

Also, please include sequence number in your posts, I can't remember all the names of the missions I've already done and I don't want to be spoilered for future missions. Things are more fun when you don't know the level in stealth games.

Might be me first. Tongue

Nice finds though.

I made essentially the same comment in his other thread, but you were much nicer about it... should title them "SEQUENCE # TARGET" or simple [S5M6] or whatever if you don't even want to spoil the target names.

Thanks guys, I'll keep that in mind from now on.

THANKS DAZ!

I think this would be especially nice of all of us, because I know of at LEAST two of my friends who have perused this site once in a while and are waiting for PS4 in late November. And I'm sure there are others... Maybe if the thread title was vague, but the thread content had specifics it would work out?

By the way, Youtube has something to remove the shakiness from videos. Just go to your video, then to enhancements, then there's an option to stabilize.

It also has the added side effect of making them a little more blurry though, and that's something I can go without.

You should just set your phone up a stack of books next time.

I'd love to be able to do that, but the set up I've got is really weird, and if I put anything on my desk it'll be too close to the screen. My brother has a much higher quality camera on his phone and he can hold it much more steadily than I do, so for my Pacifist Run of "Nothing Is True..." I'm getting him to record it. That is, if I can actually perfect it. There is a single part that is not only impossible to do in a True Pacifist manner, it's ALMOST impossible to do at all without knocking out both guards. It's really frustrating because every single other part, I've got perfectly down. It's this one segment that's ridiculous and driving me mad.
