anyone hear this old news?, im pretty happy for this. think about how better ACB would have been if it had two years to be planned out and all that stuff. so what i wanna talk about here is what do you think they should improve apon.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

So we won't get AC3 until 2013 or will they get back to this schedule for future installments?

well there is some AC game coming next year , but as for ACIII clevver games has a video on it and i can't find it (its pretty old) . so yeah 2013 might be the release of a new AC game , well hopefully we make it to 2013 (sarcasem)

Not to say I'm not in favor of a two year gap, but I didn't hear this at all. In fact I read in two different reviews that another major Assassin's Creed title is already planned for next year, and I can only assume it is AC3 unless they start doing "Assassin's Creed: Constantinople Stories."

They've openly said that AC3 is next year. They implied it by saying Desmond's story will end on time (since both the game and our reality haven't reached that date yet). It would be silly to have a game's "present-day" ending be a year after our actual date.

I concur with FLAE. Ubisoft told the press that they need to wrap up Desmond's story before December 21, 2012. Since Desmond will be a character in AC3, one may deduce that the title coming out in 2012 will be AC3.

I really hope they don't wrap it up at the end of 2012. I like to have a two year development... So it won't be rushed... like ACII when it was released after its predecessor.
Ubisoft will probably end up doing it anyway. Hopefully I wont be in disappoint. Sad

It's the most anticipated game of 2012 for both die-hard AC fans and new fans. The timeframe works. They'd be stupid to not fit it in. I wish it was another year as well, but it makes more sense to bring it out next year.

True,

Still I don't mind waiting in 2013. I could care less about it would have to be released in Dec, 21,2012. But I guess for a business standpoint it's smart. But I like too have a clean new game that innovates over it's predecessor. (Even though they add new stuff to the every AC title)

Regardless I love the sandbox feel in Assassin's Creed. As long as there is a nostalgic feeling when I explore an ancient landmark.

I really hope they spare no expense on making it feel like a new chapter, though.

Have they been working on it since AC2?

I'd like to see your sources on that. Smile

Even if they haven't been working on the game (graphics, animations, dialogue), they have to be writing it, thinking about ideas, connecting it to the previous games, and deciding on a character. They'd have to be working on it since AC2, maybe AC1.

ACI: 4 years to develop
ACII: 2 years to develop
ACB: 10 months to develop
ACR: about the same as ACB

Really, I don't care if ACIII's date coincides with Desmond's storyline. I'd rather see Ubisoft put more effort into cleaning the game instead of rushing it towards the holidays. I'd rather have it released by 2013 - perhaps later.

Maybe they can focus on (gasp!) not having our protaginist's assassin robes NOT CLIP ALL OVER THE PLACE!

I always hated when Altair's/Ezio's robes would dip into the perch on each viewpoint when I go for the cooler Batman pose. Let it drape over like it would in real life.

Totally agree. Seriously, in Revelations, you could even see Altair's feet clip on the back of his freakin robe! Now that's just being sloppy.

I agree with you on th Batman pose. I would rather wanted Altair/Ezio to stand when they synchronize with a viewpoint. I wanted to see their tailcoats/cape billow in the wind. That would be so awesome. Oh, and maybe the eagle would land in their shoulder!

Clipping through robes also happens with Ezio. Just start a sprint and you'll see what I mean.

Back on topic (not that we were much off topic). I sincerely wish they would stop the one year releases already. There is so much to find in all the games and not much time to do them. Stare Curse the beast that gave you life, Ubi.

Sorry! I have one more thing to say about clipping. (Actually, I'm going to call it intersecting because clipping means something else in computer graphics, my line of work.)

This is kind of a spoiler for Sequence 8 of Revelations...

Spoiler: Highlight to view
The female hostage on top of the tower with the bag over her head - you can see her hair before Ezio removes the bag! Her frickin' hairdo is bigger than the bag and it's intersecting all over the place. The could have at least switched off her hair until the reveal. That was so tacky!

It's quite alright. Hey, wait a minute... Stabby doesn't apologize to anyone.
Who are you and what have you done to the real Stab?! Confess! Ah, I see. Stabby needed a little break so he had his own personal haggler take over for a while. Why didn't you say so?
