I didn't jump all over this one when that cool slow-mo reverse trailer came out because it didn't really imply any sense of what the gameplay would be like, and I'm glad I didn't. The gameplay is (obviously) nothing like that trailer.

However, the gameplay looks great! I've been watching videos all weekend and I'm dying to play it. It's like Resident Evil 5 + Fallout 3, with co-op multiplayer.

I'm certainly not the only one on here looking forward to this game, but are any of you out there getting it for the PC? My Steam version is pre-ordered and pre-downloaded. I'll definitely be up for some co-op if anybody's interested. My Steam name is Asaic. Look me up!

I've been following this game for a while and you're right, the trailer is evidently nothing like the actual gameplay but it does look cool.

I doubt I'll get it any time soon but once the price drops I might give it a go just for fun. You can get a free copy with a subscription to FHM but I don't really want that Tongue

i've watched gameplay and im not feelin it ,it looks like L4D with rpg elements

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

I heard it's also free roam, you can mix weapons and tools with anything, and it has RPG elements (as said before). So it's similar to L4D in that it's 1st person zombie killing, but it's also a blend of Dead Rising's weapon creation and Fallout's upgrading and free roam elements. I think it'll be worth buying.

It's nothing like L4D IMO. L4D is much faster and 'arcade-y', focusing on guns and fast frantic gameplay. DI is much slower, more survival-horror and adventure-like, is primarily melee focused, and yes, has RPG elements (like Fallout 3).

L4D doesn't do much for me, but DI looks like it's right up my alley. I'll know for sure in about 30 hours. Smile

People with early-released copies seem to be agreeing that it's not very much of a free-roam game. It seems that while you can explore, there's little to do outside of missions. I'll find out for sure by Tuesday and will let you know.

I'd actually love to get L4D on PC when I can, because of all the user-created levels. Plus, one of my friends plays it all the time and we've always had fun with the xbox version (I scream a lot in that game...usually when I see a damn witch!!!).

I'm actually pretty talkative in fast-paced games. If only I had the audio for my Splinter Cell gameplay. Those were some of my best one-liners I've ever said.

Having a microphone is great for co-op games. As long as you're not blasting music through it. Smile

I knew I had a mic, but didn't realize where the hell it was. It's hidden somewhere on my laptop. I assumed I forgot to add it in the order. Then my friend heard something, yelled "I CAN HEAR YOU BREATHING" and lo and behold, he heard me reply "Hello?", revealing to me that my 2 days with the laptop before then was a lie. O_o

Will get if everyone jumps in, but right now BF3, ACR and Halo: CE are already ripping my wallet.

I should probably get Battlefield. I know a lot of players here like it. Might delve into the conformist crowd for once.

Thats good to know...

I never really liked L4D mainly cause it felt repetitive IMO. But I might consider getting Dead Island.

Played Dead Island for over 5 hours and loved every second of it. Fun as hell. Worth every penny IMO, and I haven't even tried it co-op yet.

I don't know what all the bitching online is about, because I found the PC version to be flawless (save for the cursor speed in menus, but I was using a controller).

I have read and heard absolutely wonderful things about this game except for the fact that there are a ton of very very VERY bad bugs and glitches, and the saving/checkpoint system is flat out terrible. If these things get patched and its available on Steam by the time I get my new computer, I'll definitely pick this thing up.

The bugs are only for some users, though. Naturally you'll only hear from those having issues, so it always seems to be a much larger issue than it really is.

Myself, my cousin and three of my friends all have it for PC and have zero issues. Our machines range from cutting edge to I-can't-believe-it's-still-running. And we all love this game. It's the best game I've played in a very long time.

I hope you'll try it out.

Finally finished the game last night. I took my time and replayed most of the game 2 – 3 times due to joining friends' games. Nothing stellar about the story or the ending, but it's the gameplay that makes this game great. And great it is.

Steam says I've put 64 hours into this game already. Good thing I had the week off work. Smile Even after 64 hours, I'm far from done with it. Money well spent.

I watched gameplay for it and it looks really good. There is quite a bit of free roam. I'm a big fan of L4D so, I might pick this up when it's much cheaper. Right now I'm focusing on ACR and I'm pretty skint.

Well I definately recommended it, I'm about 10 hours into the game and have only 45%. Been enjoying every step of the way.

Btw, Soul what platform do you play on?

That's good. I might pick it up then. Is it like L4D where you can play multiplayer?

I play on Xbox 360 Smile
