The poll has been up there long enough, and there is a TON of content that deserves frontpaging.

So please, frontpage activity pl0x.

The responses I expect from Mr. Stab:

You can't tell me what to do!

or

This is left up to management decisions.

or

I may need a little more persuasion. Cash

How about, "we've run into a rut and not EVERYthing by EVERY poster deserves the front page."

Maybe one thing a week. A weekly poll on Friday. And the most "frontpage-worthy" post from the previous week frontpaged on Monday. If people want to see other stuff, they have to find the forums and lobby for things on the front page. More discussion on a topic = more likely on frontpage.

I say this knowing that none of my stuff deserved the frontpage they got, but no one else was posting at the time.

EDIT: It occurs to me that the above post says "Mr. Stab" and not "McStab." ... I was wondering why I got a say...

I remember Stabguy saying something about that before. What gets frontpaged depends on what what the site administrator or web content editors consider awesome, or if enough people think it is. And the "one thing a week" deal would be unfair since someone might post an equally awesome video right after another one gets frontpaged. Of course usually it's videos that get frontpaged because it seems that's what the site mainly runs on, except for maps and some topics such as guides and stuff. Maybe there could be a way to easily distinguish popular topics?
