I largely agree with your friend. MW3 looks cool but CoD games do have a habit of being very similar. The story also looks a bit over the top, IMO. I'll probably still get it after the price drops though Smile

Yeah, I'm on the side of your friend. They're just a series that's only made for grabbing your money. Sure, it's fun. The original idea is amazing. But year after year after year after year of the same exact thing (along with competitive games that, let's face it, are the same game as MW with slight differences) gets boring. Since they're popular, people buy them and say they're the best games ever made. They're not that good.

i really liked the single player in MW1, there was a good narrative there.
like how one mission ends with enemies being killed by a friendly AC 130, then you are up in it following the guy you just played a few minutes ago escape.

MW2 however, i still have no idea how you got to the airfield level or what you were doing there, and why the hell did you infiltrate a russian nuke and send it to washington?

i'll probably watch a let-play or something, just to see what happens to Captain Price, cause he's awesome.

the multiplayer was 'meh'

I have to admit I really enjoyed both games' campaign mode. Even with the bootleg story.

As to the airfield I have no idea, but they went to the Russian nuke silo to interfere with its trajectory. Price sent it into space and detonated it off orbit so that the U.S. wouldn't loose WW3 before it even started.

I think Treyarch are better too (although Black Ops was average).

Call of Duty: World at War will forever remain one of my favourite games. Most people play CoD for the multiplayer but storming the blasted beaches of Japan or fighting your way through war-torn Berlin just cannot be beaten. It was the first PS3 game, and even proper video game at all, that I ever owned and I will never tire of it.

you know what would have been amazing for a campaign-story?
if we would play as a brand new character, make us sort of like him,
and then make him hunt down and kill Captain Price and Soap, since if my memory serves me, they are hunted by both the russians and the americans for whatever reason.
would be the greatest plot twist in CoD history

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which

noo captain price and soap where betrayed by Shepard who was evil i believe in mw3 they will be part of the us army again but i wan't to see a cod of the perspective from a captain like in black ops that you have the command ooh and i think after mw3 there will be a mw4 and then infinity ward will go to an other era

Of course there will be. They'll either switch the characters with new people or make it a prequel. It's too much of a cash cow to let go of.

Very interesting to see but it's not exactly an uncommon practise in the video game industry. As a lot of the comments on the video say, building/layout/texture recycling is employed in a lot of game series, including the Battlefield series.

Nothing majorly controversial, although they could have changed the colour/style of the building a bit. Tongue

At least most movies use the same formula but add twists to it. Changing characters, villains, settings, and endings to wrap it all up. Some of them aren't good, but that depends on the different takes directors use. It's a mixed flavor for everyone. Battlefield and Modern Warfare are consistently repetitive. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd give us a little breathing room between each one.

so, i don't know how far i am. but the game is okay FLAE's eye roll.

the way the story telling flows, its confusing. you play as a sh*t load of soliders, they range from:

American

British

russian

ect...

while the visuals and action sections are pretty cool.the game just lacks.

I'll say this, the innovation team for the multiplayer in all the Call of Duty games is fantastic. I think Kill Confirmed is an excellent idea for an online gametype.

The "beat wave after wave of enemies" gametype cool and as FLAE said Kill Confirmed was a very good idea. Other than that, I think I'll keep playing Battlefield 3.
