I've been a member here for seven weeks but only recently got my new PC so i thought this would be the best time to start using the site more often. I like to look at the forums on here, so why not post something.

I'm sort of new to the Assassins Creed series, I played AC3 last year then AC4 afterwards. I really enjoyed those so I went and bought the Heritage Collection for the PS3 and played through them all (getting a pretty high percentage on most of them, and got the platinum trophy for AC2) This got me really into the series and even as far as liking AC:Bloodlines on the PSP.

So i bought Unity and loved it, the bugs and technical issues were exaggerated as i only came across a few of them.
I haven't play Rogue yet as i'm waiting for the PC release.

I also have a youtube channel and i don't know if anyone has found this yet.

Welcome to TheHiddenBlade, Pat4! Do you mind if I call you that?
A member of ours is already named PatrickDeneny so it would probably be easier to distinguish, but we'll all figure that out later. Tongue

I'm sure you already know this, but one of TheHiddenBlade's primary attractions is breathing new life into Assassin's Creed games by playing them in unique, creative and oftentimes seemingly impossible ways. A great way to experience and see that is using the "Find ___ Videos" buttons on the left side. Firstly they're categorized by game, and secondly by any of the other types you see under the game's heading.

"By assassination style" is particularly interesting - and you'll be sure to find a lot of straight-up bonkers stuff.

On TheHiddenBlade, we also tend to use various Terms that have been created and thought up locally, on this very forum. Sometimes it can get confusing, so here's a really great list of Terms we use here. A lot of these might make you want to look up particular instances of that technique - feel free to do so if you get the urge Tongue

Many of these are exploits/bugs/ways of manipulating games in the Assassin's Creed series to cause some ridiculously entertaining results.

Veteran members may already be groaning at this but the video I always link to newcomers is IanXO4's "The Bleeding Effect - Expert Gameplay in Assassin's Creed." It's pretty crazy and was the reason I came to this site back in 2010.

With that, I leave you to explore TheHiddenBlade however you like. There is a lot to see and do here, so have fun. No matter what you want to discuss, whether it's Story, Gameplay, Game Design, or Exploits/Technique Discovery you'll find someone who'll want to talk about it with you. You'll get to know all of us pretty quickly, and we look forward to getting to know you too Smile

Hey there! Welcome!

I'm curious to know what got you into AC. What made you pick up AC3? Also, what elements of the games do you like best? Stealth, combat, parkour, historical setting, story, etc.

Also, DAZ, that video you posted is still freaking amazing and will NEVER get old. You hear me!?!

Thanks for the reply, Pat4 is fine I don't mind that. I've always liked the way you guys on here play the Assassins Creed games. Great Video as well.

Thanks.

AC3 was part of the instant game collection on PS Plus so I downloaded it and didn't really expect to like it as much as I did. The hide in plain site and crowd blending was something I hadn't seen in another game before. And i have always liked climbing and parkour. I also loved the 1700's setting.
