New member here, and an older retired one to boot! Yep, an old goat!

New to AC and am having a ton of fun w/ AC1. I have all the Xbox 360 games and hope I have enough years left to fully explore each and every one of them. Also hope to learn more of the ins, outs and intricacies of the various games from all of you as I progress through them. Smile

As you might have guessed from his name, AbqHawk is a fellow Seahawks fan. When I heard that he was playing AC1 for the first time and trying to get the most from it I told him, "I have the perfect website for you!"

Thanks for registering an account, AbqHawk. When you have more questions about AC1 it would be wise to post them in the Assassin's Creed forum. You'll get faster and more thorough answers than if you just ask me.

Go Hawks!

You won't even feel the blade.

Nice to meet you, Hawk.

Ugh. Another Seahawks fan.

I'm just rooting for Bane to show up in Glendale this weekend.

Best case scenario:

I'd also guess from his name that he's from Albuquerque?

Welcome, AbqHawk! I hope you have a pleasant time here.

Sadly, I can't support the Seahawks this year (although I happily would if they were playing anybody but New England). I used to live in Boston and my husband's family are all there still, so.... Sorry, Seattle (and Stab and AbqHawk; I'm sure the cheers of both of you will drown me out handily though).

That's okay, Lisa. You supported the Seahawks last year when we needed it most. This year will be a cakewalk.

You won't even feel the blade.

Someone's ego is a tad overinflated... and we know what New England does to things that are inflated....

I guess I supported the Seahawks in the 2005 Superbowl, which was the only time I watched it in Washington (and by the looks of it, the Steelers must have bribed the referees, if anyone remembers how things turned out). Haven't watched it before or since, except to see the commercials.

Welcome aboard, Abq.

If you have enough time you could try other playthroughs for AC1:
Minimal kills
Fists only
Hidden blade only
Stealthy
Speedrun

I second a "Hidden Blade Only" run of any of the games, but especially AC1. It's annoying that combat automatically switches you to sword, but at least in AC1 you can override it... FLAE's eye roll

I believe one reason for Stabguy's Stylish Assassination Guide was for using only the hidden blade. During the last times I played AC1, combo kills finally became the preferred method of combat, thanks to Al-Assas.
