There is a new patch available for AC2. I just downloaded it a moment ago on both systems. Changes are currently unknown.

I hesitate to say this because I'm going to feel like a giant noob, but... how do you download patches to consoles?

*Goes to update*. And FLAE, on the xbox version, as long as you are connected to the internet, as soon as you start the game, a message pops up saying "A update is available for this game, do you wish to update now?". I don't what happens on the PS3, but i'd imagine it's similar.

Thanks to SBIzokronus for the fantastic sig!

^ I really only get those for Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2. But that clears everything up. Thanks joe.

It's exactly the same way on PS3, just in case anyone wants to know.

No official information has been released yet, but I really doubt it's a patch to prep for DLC. There is simply no need, as the game is not multiplayer. 'Prep' patches are usually to ensure that a game is compatible online in case you do not have the DLC - this way everyone is still playing the same version number and thus multiplayer connections can authenticate. AC2 has absolutely no need for such a thing.

I speculate that it's more bug fixes. There were still plenty of bugs left over after the first patch, and fixes would have gone in during the design of the DLC. This way everyone gets the fixes and not just those who pay for the DLC.

Anyone with the PS3 version notice any performance increases? Is the save file still locked? I'm at work and can't check.

Alas, no performance improvements on the PS3 either. I didn't really expect such a thing, but there were claims on other forums.
