If you go to the Animus Desktop and into Options and Stats it shows your overall synchronization as a percentage.

In order to get 100.0%, you need to complete/collect all of the following:

  • all story missions
  • all side missions
  • 100 feathers (and place them in the box in Maria's room)
  • 8 statues (and place them on the pedestals)
  • 20 glyphs (and solve the puzzles)
  • 66 viewpoints
  • all weapons
  • all armor sets
  • all pouch upgrades
  • all villa upgrades
  • all paintings
  • all Assassin tombs
  • all Templar lairs

The Assassin tombs and Templar lairs include the three pre-order bonus maps and the one from Uplay. So yes, it's very unlikely that any one person will be able to achieve a full 100.0% synchronization until all of the exclusive maps are made available as downloadable content (DLC), with the exception of Europeans who purchased the Black Edition version of the game.

As you may have noticed, completing all side missions does not register them as fully completed in the DNA menu of the Animus Desktop. However, you will still receive 100.0% synchronization in the Stats menu. Memory sequences 12 and 13 are inaccessible at this time, yet are still displayed in the DNA menu and shown as incomplete. This will not preclude you from reaching 100.0% synchronization. Once the DLC with memory sequences 12 and 13 are available, the overall synchronization percentage should automatically adjust to a lower number to accomodate all of the additional missions and objectives that come with these DLC packs.

The southern section of Florence is inaccessible throughout the entire game, yet a map exists for it on the fast-travel shop screen. It is currently theorized that this area will become available in sequences 12 and 13, once available.

So there you have it. I figure this information will be useful for anyone puzzled as to how to fully complete AC2. While there are hints that you may not have fully completed everything currently available in the game, the overall synchronization percentage is what you should go by.

Not looking! Not looking! I'm halfway through my second playthrough yet I still don't wanna know how much you know Asaic! lol I'm still stuck on some of the puzzles but I'm in no hurry. I've found all the statues but that's about my limit. I'd love to get all 100 feathers cuz I hope a letter from Ezio's lil bro shows up telling us his 'secret' instead of just some worthless MS achievement (pls don't blow that for me if it's not to be..lol).

Here's to you as good as you are. Here's to me as bad as I am. As bad as I am, and as good as you are, I'm as good as you are, as bad as I am.

I'm confused. Apart from treasures and looting the keys I have everything on the list, but only 99.05 sync :S

what is a templar lair anyway?
could all of those be DLC and/or pre order only?

Then you don't have everything on the list. Smile

I just revised the original post to include a couple things I forgot to list the first time and to reflect the new DLC information. Check the list again to see if anything new might be what you're missing.

A Templar lair is exactly the same thing as an Assassin tomb. As written in the first post above, there are three exclusive lairs and the Uplay tomb. At this time, you need to have puchased the Black Edition of the game to have access to all of the missions.

Shy I had one more contract to do in Tuscany. So treasures DO NOT count to the total.

I've played one of them because of the Gamestop preorder deal. I know there were a few questions about the Palazzo de Medici. Basically, templars invade Lorenzo's home to kill him, but you have to invade it as well to kill all the templars and save him.

It's quite good actually.

I'm playing AC2 again these days and I reloaded my save from the speedrun (so with almost nothing but the story memories). I tried everything you listed here (1 of each), but only side missions, assassins tombs and templar lairs did actually raise the synchronization in the Stats menu.

So I think you can acheive 100% in the Stats menu with only story memories, side memories, assassins tombs and templar lairs (which means without having 100% for the villa). Am I right? (I believe I will try that anyway)

This is done. I achieved 100% synchronization in the stats menu only with story memories, side memories (beat up, courier, races, assasinations), assassins tombs (even without putting the seals in the villa) and templar lairs.

Edit: what's the 100% definition according to you? Stats only or with the villa?

Doesn't change the information.

Who knows, maybe we'll see an influx now that AC2 will be free for xbox live gold members in July. Wink

Actually, yes, if the 100% definition is stats/synch only, there's a non zero probability that I plan and run a 100% run.

Let's consider I want to make a 100% speedrun of AC2. How much would you be interested in: a) the advancement status of the planning/recording process, b) the planning file, c) the run itself? If you like you can use a scale, where at 0 you would ban me and at 20 you would sleep under my window.

Me personally, probably an 18 for personal enjoyment, entertainment and later use.
All three, well-documented would be delicious.

I love reading about the planning... the detailed final plan not so much... I love seeing how you piece together things for your runs more than anything else. But the final run is always fun to watch...
