So we know that Ubisoft has already planned an ending for the beloved franchise, and I think that (aside from AC:Comet) Unity will be one of 3 of the final AC games that will be made. I also read somewhere that we should keep an eye out for Egypt as a possible location, among others that I can't remember.
I think Unity is one of 3 final games mainly for three reasons:
1. Ezio had a trilogy and was a huge succes
So during a ACU story interview with Alex Amancio. There was a question about the modern day storyline. His response was so vague it could easily be missed. What he said was, "the player will be you, not a abstergo employee not a assassin." Very interesting right. In fact Watch_Dogs may have be hinting at what he's talking about( source links below). There's a easter egg in which a kid is playing Assassin's Creed trying to explain the plot to his father. What could mean that there's a chance, don't qoute me on this, that we will be playing as the player in the modern day of ACU !
Not alot but pretty interesting article made more important Since its you know...The creator of the game we love. It really would have been interesting to see four female Assassin's. Here's he link:

in this interview, at around the 10 minute mark they start talking about how they're handling memory corridors. (they call it the "white room) I won't spoil it here.
but the whole interview has some great new stuff.

controlled descent sounds fantastic. I love the hay-bale jump, but it's good to see they don't want to over-use it any more.
also the Adaptive Mission Mechanic sounds insanely ambitous. I hope it works out, I've wanted something like this in AC for years.
skill trees/customization focusing on the different playstyles you may want to use.
Modern day is "even more different" than Black Flag's. Very interested to see what that means.

One-to-one ratio? Damn. And Eagle Pulse with up-gradable enhancements? Damn.
New Stealth Mode? FINALLY.
Control Descent? Finally. Although at this point, he no longer moves realistic. He's practically spidermanning up his walls.
It is a bit distracting seeing all those icons on the map, although I'd really like the lack of UI of this game. Much more refined without needless floaty things about draining the CPU.

lots of clips from both demos, some new stuff behind the scenes, and a lot of explanation about what their goal is with ACU. as I hoped, it's mainly about going back and examining the original fantasy and goals of AC1, and trying to take that to where next-gen lets it.
sounds like there's only one city, but it's built at almost 1:1 scale. some previous games were about a third of that.
