Technically those are major things that make it fun. Immersive cities and stuff to do once the main story is finished. And since side-quests are now random events, they can devote traditional side-quest content more to assassination missions. I will let you rage unnoposed if this game has no side assassinations to speak of.

Thanks.

He basically said that the game was more about the sidequests than anything else.

You know the side-stuff actually takes up more game-time than the main story. So from a purely "X amount of whatever", it's a bigger part. Even in AC1, syncing viewpoints in the kingdom, getting all the flags and killing all templars took a long time. One of the things I liked about AC2 was that I got side-tracked doing the optional quests and took a long time to finish the main story.

And as I said, this stuff being random-event in nature, they have to create more quests than usual so there are a lot of different types, since you'll be experiencing them long after the story is done.

I'm pretty sure that they're not including assassinations in the random event category, so that means that there will be either no assassination missions, and they'll just make lots of Assassin's Dens, or there will be MORE assassination missions, since there is no other structured side-mission type. Who says having more than 200 people and a bunch of groups around the world working on content is a bad thing?

I'm confident that this game will be much bigger than Brotherhood. From a pure hype standard, it sounds better than brotherhood, which means that will translate into it being better than brohood was, hopefully.

I really like idea of randomizing events. Let's just hope there are enough different events so that it doesn't feel stale.

Also, getting all flags and Templars took me around 4-5 hours. Finishing the actual game took longer. Tongue

Ok, bad example. : P All the feathers, chests, viewpoints, and side-mission in AC2, then. But you can pretty much consider the investigations in AC1 side-missions, since after doing 3 the rest are optional, and they're built like side-missions.

My turn to rant. There aren't that many assassinations in ACR, in fact ACB was probably a little better.Good one, Ubi. Angry

They don't even know why we play AC. The amount of sidequests, they say, or the rich cities. But these are lies they tell themselves. Heh heh, no. All of this is born of fear and hate. It bothers them that most players were not satisfied with how the games were, just as it bothers them that we are the only ones who enjoyed them. Creativity. Challenge. Nostalgia. These words mean nothing to any of them, mean nothing to those infidel players who ravage the game in search of explosions and excitement. And so I say, "ENOUGH!" I've pledged myself to another cause. One that will bring about a new world in which all players might play side by side in depth. A pity none of them will live to see that day.

Aurel I love you for that. I just spent a good, 3-4 minutes re-reading that little edit you made. It was even funnier and more respected the second time around! I thought the method of complaint was brilliant, as well as the complaint. I too, feel like one of the fans that Ubisoft left in the dirt once the brain-dead children of this generation swept them away to Shitty Games for Bitchy Goons-ville.

Why do they not listen to all of OUR bitching?? At least then Ubisoft would yield that inspirational spark that hooked us all to the often-referred to as "unfinished" game known simply as AC.

Anyways, funny post!
