We should switch from the Java Chat to Xat. Its a lot easier and uses flash meaning less problems to those having trouble with Java (a lot of people have trouble with Java apps). Party

I think the main reason was that most mobile devices can't use Flash, and they want to participate too.

Not that anyone uses the Java chatbox on their mobile devices anyway... Or desktop users either, for that matter.

What we need is an integrated chat thing similar to what Facebook has, so that being on chat is actually convenient. Of course, difficulty of doing this is probably about 11/10.

Edit: Actually, it seems that it's easier than it sounds: http://gausarts.com/iblog/create-facebook-chat-panel-your-own-website#steps

This brings the difficulty down to 10/10 Laughing out loud
THB is on Drupal, correct?

Xat is pretty good as a chat function, but it will never be better than Ajax. Still, Ian, if you switched the chat to xat I think people would like it a lot more.

Yea, and Sun is really fking up nowadays. I mean, before it used to be pretty pro, but now it sucks due to everyone sayin screw you to java. Java is pretty slow... Hate to say it, but flash and silverlight might over come java.
