CVG put together what they thought were the 20 best moments in the Assassin's Creed series. What did they miss? What shouldn't be on the list?

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/354966/features/assassins-creeds-20...

Notably absent for me...
1 - Minerva directly speaking to Desmond, and calling him by name, at the end of AC2. Blew my mindhole.
2 - When Ezio is officially inducted into the Assassin Order and finds out that Mario, Machiavelli, La Volpe, Bartolomeo etc are assassins. They recite the creed and leap of faith off the building one after another.
3 - When Altair confronts Al Mualim at the end of AC and you must fight several Al Mualim clones (unless you use eagle vision, that is).
4 - Embers was a nice conclusion to Ezio's story, but was probably omitted due to not being in the main games.
5 - Syncing your very first viewpoint and the subsequent Leap of Faith as Altair.

The first two are my top 2 moments, and I don't know how they didn't make the top 20!

I have to agree with you on Ezio's induction into the Assassin order. How on earth is that not in there?!

I think they missed :
- Claudia showing her assassin's skills (AC:B)
- Ezio's love stories (AC2 & AC:B)
- as already said, Minerva speaking to Desmond, I was open-mouthed too (AC2)

Ezio finding his father's Assassin costume & weapons would have been a great cutscene if there wasn't this annoying white loading screen right in the middle of it. Not only for the continuity but for the audio that is off synch for the rest of the cutscene because of it.
I concur with 16's sacrifice, mainly for the background ost which is imo the best track of the game.
What I would add to the list are the several revelations made in the games, that apparently were obvious for most of the fanbase but that I didn't suspect until the characters themselves spilled the beans :
- Al Mualim = Templar, during Robert de Sable's death speech, when he says "Not 9, but 10"
- Robert in Jerusalem = Maria. That's sad, but it took for Maria to remove her helmet for me to realise.
- William M. = Desmond's father, officially confirmed when he calls Desmond "son" at the end of ACR.

When Ezio said, "Who is Desmond?" I thought Desmond might appear there in the vault and Ezio would try to kill him or something.

That was pretty neat. All those allies assassins all along. Smile

I mentioned that first leap of faith in Your Best Moments in Gaming topic.
