Ezio and Altair in ac3.
in one of the questions at comic con somebody asked about if we would see ezio and altair again and while he didn't confirms it he didn't denied it and acted a bit weird. So my guess is that ezio or altair or both will return in ac3 for an mission like in ac2. spoiler about the end of revelations multiplayer
Considering Ezio and Altair are all wrapped up after ACR, there's no real point in bringing them back. They'll probably be mentioned a few times, but I highly doubt there is any gameplay moments involving either one.
Hopefully they'll return as playable skins that one can download form Uplay. I've always wanted to see Ezio command his own ship!
I miss the AC2 Ezio outfit. I think it's one of the best out of the series. I'd like them to bring back Altair's, but not the super clean version from ACR. I liked it better when the folds and wrinkles in his robes made me feel like he had experience showing through. It made him feel more realistic.
U-play downloadable skin packs is the only way we should even see Ezio or Altair.
Other than the prologue at the beginning of the game....

- Ezio's default, Roman, and Turkish robes
- Armor of Brutus, and the Ishak Armor set
I think Classic Altair, AC2 Ezio, Mohawk tribe Connor, Ship Captain Connor, and then of course Desmond. Maybe Solid Snake, too. Might as well.

Revelations felt very cartoony to me. Certainly liked old Altaïr better too.
Also, armor of Brutus can go do naughty things to itself. That shit is ugly.

I believe you can get AC: Brotherhood Ezio Skin from uPlay.
I don't think any of the other skins are in the game, but I haven't beaten nor 100%ed it yet so I wouldn't know yet.
Ezio is mentioned in the story line but not playable.
