I'm not at home right now so that is why I post it in stead of test it.

What if...?
You go with Machiavelli to the blacksmith
Go get a couple of guards
Blend
Have the guards kill Machiavelli
During some point during his death (right before/after) you buy the sh*tty paludrons
Desynch bugs out?

Just a wild guess, but fun if it worked.
