In order to make the ghost run more interesting I decided to use fists, this could make these challenges interesting because it stops you from doing aerial assassinations, forcing you to get in close ( not so much on this mission as he is under cover)

Eagle Strike from Galata Tower

As the title says this is an eagle strike from Galata tower (the highest tower in the game?). The target I choose is from a recruit assassin mission The Avenger. I'm not sure if there are any other missions with a target closer to the tower, but I just decided to record this before someone else does.

The Setup

My first memory of Vesferatu is when he offered to design a new logo for this site. He came up with several good designs, my favorite being the "wrist and blade" now appearing in the upper left corner of your browser. After that he stuck around and became a welcome addition to our community. Here is our interview with Vesferatu, the man behind the logo:

Tell me about the first time you played AC.

Ha ha ha. Boy, this is awkward. Unlike most people, I never started the Assassin’s Creed franchise with the first game in the series. I was introduced to AC2 two summers ago at my cousin’s house. He recommended me the game, and it boy…was love at first sight. Free running throughout the city, killing random guards, looting randomly dispensed treasure chests – it was GTA again, but with a dark, Italian twist.

Though the graphics and game play satisfied my gaming addiction, I was baffled by the confusing storyline and characters. I later went to Assassin’s Creed Wikia and read the entire series. I haven’t played ACI, nor do I plan to as I already know the plot and seen most of the cut scenes and dialogues of that game on YouTube. However, since Ubisoft gave free copies of ACI with the purchase of ACI [Revelations? -stabguy], I decided to have a go with it. It was alright. I knew that it was a more darker and repetitive, but it was enjoyable nevertheless.

What do you like most about the games?

It would have to be the atmosphere and sense of freedom. The architecture, music, dialects, and free-roaming all help amplify the enriching experience of playing as an Assassin in Italy, Constantinople, and the Middle East. Everything balances each other and compliments the philosophy of this game.

A prime example of this is “Nothing is true; everything is permitted”. Many people can relate this to the philosophy of parkour.

I just love how Ubisoft manages to faithfully and historically portray the worlds back then in the 15th – 16th Century within the graphical/size limitations of the PS3/XBOX/PC. And that’s probably the best things about the AC games. Each has managed to bring a time setting that few, if any, video-game companies have portrayed before. One of my favorite perks of the Animus 2.03 is that it even tried to be educational, providing facts about famous landmarks.

It's for sure the fastest way to kill Tarik. Firstly you have to equip the bomb before starting the cutscene, then hold Y (for Xbox360) when you see the loading icon, Ezio will aim the target automatically.

I used an impact bomb, with English powder and shrapnel.

I really like the look and sound of this assassination. It's like there's a sonic boom that blows everyone back.

Watching your recent videos of this mission I tried to do something that wasn't already done by Ian or Aurel. After hours of plannings I finally managed to make an Eagle Strike, plus I added a cool Stunt Assassination from the roof.

I hope you guys enjoy my work Smile

Blitz - Save Rasit El Zubeyid
Rasit El Zubeyid is the second assassin to be executed by the Templar. (The first is Vahid Ahmedi, who is executed at right after the checkpoint.) Rasit's execution is triggered by killing the second guard you encounter on the castle wall or by entering unmarked areas around the site. You can still kill the target despite these efforts by the developers. Run toward the target as shown, and stop just past the guard to quickly throw 3 knives. You are detected, but the target dies quickly enough for a successful mission. Keep your distance from the nearby guard when you throw the knives so that you are not detected prematurely.

For this memory, you are required to kill a Den captain to reclaim the Den for the assassins. I messed around in it, and this is the end result. Sadly, I wasn't able to record an eagle strike, though I know how to jump and all that (tip: use eagle sense to direct Ezio's gaze very precisely, which makes difficult jumps much easier). Sad Anyway, on to the video.

The Mentor's Keeper Assassination Variety Pack

For my first video on AC Revelations I am doing a variety pack on the Altair memory The Mentor's Keeper in sequence three.

Early Infiltration of the Fortress
You are not meant to enter the Masyaf fortress before the scene. By performing a wall run followed by a wall jump you can get to a part of the cliffs that will lead you to the fortress without activating the scene. Sadly enough there aren't any characters in it. Also there are invisible barriers for where the gates close.

Free Al Mualim
This is harder than it looks since it isn't meant to be possible. To free him you have to get rid of the guards first. Let the spear wielding guards notice you and lead them into the fortress (there are three spear wielding guards. In the video I lead all three, but you can choose to lead the two that are close by. You will have to deal with the third later on, though). When you reach the stairs you can either go up them and turn to the side or go behind the bookcases. If you are too far away they will stop following, and if they have sight of you too long they will detect you. Now you can kill the two guards holding Al Mualim without being detected. I kill the guard on the right first since I sometimes bump into him when I kill the guard on the left. If you kill the target after this the scripted guards are reanimated. The two guards are fought off by Al Mualim, and the other three run away. There are also a few other examples. If you grab the target Al Mualim dies even though there is no one to kill him. Notice how he holds a crossbow after you let go. Also if you kill one of the scripted guards by throwing a spear he will be reanimated with the spear still in him. I choose to do this to the guard on the left because Al Mualim throws the guard on the right to the ground during the scene.
