another thing that botherd me came from pt 2 of the podcast where they didn't give a valid reason to why desmond had a change in appearance . like why the hell would you do something that drastic to the main charcter of the series and not have a reason for doing so !! dick move ubi....dick move....also the stalkers are nothin but the bandits from ACB that makes them 40% less annoying but 100% more stupid.

Actually, they said that their parallel to the bandits was Templar ambushes, the stalker is something different.
And the reason they gave for Desmond's face change was simply that they're using better technology to make faces.
The reason his face looks different than before is because before they never managed to make him look exactly the way they wanted him to. This is perhaps the closest he's ever been to the real life model he's based off of.
Sometimes games don't need an excuse to make things better. Just go with it.
I know for a fact that tons of fans complain about the game looking too much the same, so it just goes to show that you can't please everyone.
True. They are many instances where characters and settings look completely different from their last sequel. A prime example is God of War. In each series, Kratos' tattoo get thinner and thinner to the point where it doesn't cover his nipple anymore. Fans could make up excuses on how the tattoo got thinner so that it correlates to the game-play and story, such as "maybe the tattoo is fading" or "maybe his ashes are covering up his tattoo". For me, I don't really care. Like Calvar said, some developers just want to change things up a bit.
