Altair92's recent videos using the smoke bomb to cause targets to flee inspired me to revisit the first mission where I noticed this effect: Stefano da Bagnone. At the time, I couldn't find any interesting to do with the fact that he ran away - Ezio doesn't have a gun yet, and Stefano did nothing more than run along a path into the distance. But I recently found a particular mission design that causes Stefano to run in circles around the monastery. This gives an opportunity for a dynamic stunt, which is my favorite type of assassination, as many of you know.

Here are a couple minor notes for anyone trying to duplicate the stunt:
0:25 Throw the smoke bomb just outside of the cloister. If you cross the threshold and then throw the bomb, Stefano will flee to the abbey, and the mission will fail.
0:29 Wait until the patrol enters the smoke before leaving the area, so they don't follow you.
1:46 Leap from the cross when Stefano crosses behind the tree trunk.

Ah so it isnt the smoke bomb that makes him run around, I get it. Anyway with Marco you could still tackle him on the way to the cabin and then use another smoke bomb and poison him, then run away to get out of the area seeing as there will be no distance restriction now

Nicely dont Ian. Im wondering, usually when Stefano sees you he runs indoors and you fail instantly. Same goes for Marco, if he sees you he runs inside the ship.

Now could you do the same thing to Marco? would he just run around the ship? You could then poison him and leave the area, so when the memory corridor is over you have already escaped the area

thx! based on your comment, i clarified that stefano only runs like this if you dont enter the cloister to start his conversation ("let us pary").

if i recall correctly on marco, he'll always run to the ship cabin for a smoke bomb, but it may be different if you do this at the end of the countdown like what aurl has been exploring. maybe he'll comment.

Heh,heh, heh. He runs to you and then around the whole abbey! Laughing out loud Altair92's smoke bomb tricks are awesome! Cool
Using a smoke bomb is one of the only things I didn't try on Marco. Once I tried to steal from him at the end of the countdown, but I don't think it affected him. I actually tried stunts on Marco for at least a few hours, but gave up and then got the idea to use the water trick to do the superfast blitz on him. Right now I'm still trying to do a better blitz on Silvio and Dante, but it's complicated.
