Business practices. I will not condone this type of business practice. I mean, the designers seem to have done a great job with the open assassination missions, but Ubisoft is no longer getting any money from me unless they change their ways.

A fair reason. It's really getting absurd.

I don't have the backbone for such a boycot, but I applaud you for taking a stand.

I've been enjoying Rogue. Maybe you should go that way.

Lots of things returning from past games with new twists give it a feeling of nostalgia and freshness. A perfect end for last-gen consoles.

a small list of things returning (for better or worse, i'll save my opinions for my review), many updated and changed:
Borgia captain archetype for districts in towns (complete with renovations)
templar stalker archetype
assassin contracts
defending your ship from boarding
hunting challenges
the davenport homestead location
updated ship mechanics to deal with icebergs, ice sheets and cold water in general

do things seem recycled? sure... but most have a new twist because you're on the other side.

plus, you can kill as many civilians as you want without desyncing!!! ... you just get bounty hunters coming after you (equivalent of Jaegers from AC3, or pirate hunters on land i suppose)

I can confirm Rogue is 100% a better experience than Unity.
I can't believe I spent 500 dollars on a fucking console to play this broken game.
Yeah, I said it.
I, Leo Karakolov, DarkAlphabetZoup - the most forgiving Assassin's Creed fan PROBABLY IN THE WHOLE WORLD, am getting tired. I really am. Ubisoft deeply hurt me with this game. I have very little but complaints for it, honestly... I'm going to buy Rogue tomorrow and have fun with that.

At least it /has/ a /storyline./

So many priorities in the wrong places. There's tons of genuinely good work that went into this game, but it's implemented badly, made worse by other issues, or just doesnt need to be part of the game in the first place.

If this isn't ubisoft's wake-up call, nothing will be., and this series won't last the generation. I can't imagine they could entice me with their next yearly sequel. I need them to totally rethink what they're doing. If they won't, theres pent yof other games about being sneaky.

And they (Ac) likely wont survive this generation if this is their bar.

the posts a bit guy

I can forgive the problems so far if Ubisoft eventually patches nearly all of them. My only big complaint about this is it's gotten to the point where Ubisoft has made it almost impossible for fans to keep up with everything.

It probably started in the AC2 Acre dream. Anyone who didn't play AC Bloodlines would have to guess Maria was the one Altair spared at the Jerusalem funeral. But that was no biggy.

It's bad enough you have to pay close attention not to miss any important details in the main story, but the big mistake was revealing Lucy as a Templar IN A LOUSY DLC! Lots of confusion in the next game when Desmond talks about having to kill Lucy (I don''t remember the exact conversation).

Now here we are. Two games out this year and their stories are supposedly connected. If Ubisoft releases a game next year I predict its going to be their downfall. No one can be expected to buy every single game and keep up with the full story. No one.

If they would sell 300,000 copies less than normal (just a 3% decrease from Black Flag's 10M+), that's a loss of $18M. It may only be a 3% income change, but $18,000,000 is $18,000,000. You don't get to be a CEO of a top company by throwing away $18,000,000.

This has gotten me to do something I would usually loathe: Judge the reasoning behind the company's logic. I have to admit if I was the CEO and had to make that kind of decision, the business decision would prevail, to a certain extent. However I can't see why a game next year would be more good than bad. With two games already out, a great number of fans will try to play both. An AC game next year CAN'T make a good profit.

And that has made me think to myself that I would rather buy dlcs for Unity than buy an AC game released next year, if Unity proves worthy of course. Do any of you think the season pass may be worth it? Comparing this to the AC3 dlcs I hope for better content. I've looked the Tyranny of Washington dlcs up on the PSN store and was shocked by the high prices. Not worth it.
