For the first assassination mission in the game (The False Oracle, target Medunamun) I decided to test out the overpower attack using a perk that allows you to have full adrenaline at the start of combat.
How Adrenaline and Overpower Abilities Work
During combat you build adrenaline. When it gets full you can use an overpower ability by pressing the buttons for light attack and heavy attack at the same time (/
or
/
). Depending on what type of weapon Bayek is holding there are two overpower abilities: a devastating attack that does massive damage; or fury mode, which enhances Bayek's combat.
Stylish Overpower Kill
Climb to the top of the temple and wait for Medunamun and his two goons to head for the entrance. The route he takes is random, but I've found that when he heads to the main building, he'll also take that route at least the next few times you restart the checkpoint. Think his route might depend on what time of the day it is.
Now for taking him and his goons out with little opposition. I start out with an air takedown on the guy in the front, followed by the overpower attack on the target (and since he's right behind the first guy, I'm just about guaranteed he'll be the one it's performed on since the ability targets the closest enemy). I actually had to upgrade my current weapon the fan ax to wipe out the target's health in one hit.

Adrenaline fills up slowly when you are in open conflict, but certain actions give you more adrenaline: Getting a hit with a melee/ranged weapon or when an enemy deals damage to Bayek. As it turns out, you don't have to hit only enemies; civilians and animals can also be used. Important characters such as shopkeepers work the best because they are invincible.
Do not watch this unless you've finished the base game.

Assassin’s Creed Origins
Advanced Tool Guide
Smoke Screen // Smoke Bomb
The Smoke Bomb in Assassin’s Creed Origins is a contextual item that is far more powerful than some players give it credit for. This video is for them, and for everyone else who wishes they could do more with it. You can. ;]
The Skill:
- Drop Smoke by pressing Triangle/Y/R immediately after a Dodge or Melee Attack.
- You can do this any time.
- LV2 // Damage Passive allows Smoke to Harm enemies and ground them.
Stealth:
- Spam Smoke to safely cross open space.
- Use it as a panic button when you see Detection and you’re not feeling safe enough to cover away in time.
- Drop it off edges, to cloud the area you’ll attack into.
- - With Damage, you can use this as extra Damage to kill enemies, especially clustered groups when you’re above them.
- Make aiming with a Bow or Tool safe, by clouding your current cover with Smoke, then aiming out.
Combat:
- LV1 Smoke lets you stop enemies from running and attacking. They may still stumble around, but you can get free damage on them, or begin Sleeping them for Assassinations.
- LV2 Smoke lets you Damage everyone around you, and throw them to the ground. From here you can get free damage on them, or begin Sleeping them for Assassinations. LV2 Smoke can be spammed repeatedly to efficiently harvest a large group of enemies.
- Smoke can be used to Escape Conflict.
For the first time since Assassin's Creed 3, I am replaying an Assassin's Creed game.
Restriction Number 1: Only the Seer Tree for abilities. This means my combat will be way limited from what I've played with thus far. Only one bow and 1 melee weapon equipped at a time. No leap attacks. No chain assassinate or chain throw. No quick adrenaline generation. No chain attacks. No predator bow slow mo camera. No overpower combos.

A little something different.
In the Curse of the Pharaohs DLC for Assassin's Creed Origins, there's a hidden, Legendary Predator Bow in the afterlife of Ramesses, Heb Sed: Lion's Cry.
It's in the Battlefield of Kadesh, and can be found by checking the area with Animus Pulse, and looking for a fallen soldier with a different helmet than that of the other bodies around him.
