Abstergo's use of animus technology

[spoiler]During the Cluster 8 puzzle, there is a letter talking about Subject 4 and his animus sessions. The letter is dated 1985.
Now perhaps I'm remembering incorrectly, but didn't Lucy say (in AC1) to Desmond that she designed the animus? And then in AC2, I could have sworn that it was mentioned that Baby ( Animus 2.0 ) was based on Lucy's design but upgraded.

Brotherhood multiplayer problem
Sat, 11/27/2010 - 10:46 — Vanitas So I have been attempting for HOURS, and i'm serious - HOURS - to play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on multiplayer. I did the introductory session - and thought things were going well, but since then I have been sitting "Waiting for Abstergo Agents".
I have tried joining multiple times..including with friends. When I attempt to join a friend it says the "Session is unreachable." However, when I start the game and invite them, they can join but it just sats there with us. But, when I leave - they get tossed into matches.
Anyone know how to fix the issue?
New Game next year, possibly AC3

I think this is a terrible idea. It may surprise me and be a full, good game like brotherhood, but I wouldn't want it to be AC3. AC3 has to have an entirely different engine and feel like a generational leap, IMO.

*Get every Bonus in (multiplayer) at least once...
Here is a list of the hardest Bonuses to get
-Triple Escape= escape from 3 people (obviously)
-Podium= average kills, Untouchable,top 3 on list...
-Untouchable=you might have got this one if you didn't die in a certain match...
-Mid-air kill= kill someone mid air with pistol...(I didn't get this one yet) (not sure if I did)
-Greater Variety=unlock 10 different bonuses in 1 match> A private

Im going to finish all the characters eventually for brotherhood, and thought I might add to the category for online modes here.
Manhunt is now my favorite mode online for ACB, you can get a lot of points and I find there are more strategies in the abilities you choose.

For instance I never really noticed the change in districts in this game, I never knew when I was leaving or entering a new district or when I had unlocked a new one. But my main gripe is the main assassinations.
